Properties

EXAL is a technological additive consists of sepiolite (E-562), with constant quality and high purity. Water and moisture retention is its main characteristic, which gives it the ability to agglomerate other feed components, as well as to absorb existing moisture in formulas.

Adding EXAL to feeds and supplements supplies the following benefits:

In granules:
• Pellet durability and quality are increased.
• Percentage of fines is reduced.
• Moisture addition is easier.
• Production performance is improved.
• Rejections after multiple manipulations are avoided.

In mash:
• Fluidity is increased.
• Fat addition is easier.
• Caking and sedimentation are avoided.
• Mix homogeneity is improved.

In premixes:
• Suitable base for supplements and additives.
• Chemically inert.
• Moisture is absorbed and caking is avoided.

Fields of application

EXAL can be used in any feed, being valued for its nutritional effects on swine, poultry farming and ruminants, with certain collection of advantages:

• Gastroesophagus protection.
• Soft faeces reduced.
• Intestinal transit reduced.
• Consistency of faeces improved.
• Digestion time increased.
• Intestinal viscosity increased.

Recommendation for use

It is recommended to add a maximum of 2% (20 kg/Mt) of EXAL in the feed mixer after fat addition, with a generous amount of moisture.

EXAL competes with the other raw materials for mix moisture, which is why it requires a minimum amount in order to improve the granulation process, and thus obtaining higher performance per hour and quality of the granule.
